What this notice covers

Sentinel Sweep's application code is proprietary. The third-party materials named on this page remain available under their own licenses. Nothing on this page changes those licenses or suggests that the third-party authors endorse Sentinel Sweep.

FFmpeg 8.1.2

Sentinel Sweep includes separately signed ffmpeg and ffprobe command-line programs from the FFmpeg project. The app launches these helpers as separate local processes for supported video-frame extraction and metadata inspection. The Sentinel Sweep application executable is not linked against FFmpeg libraries.

The helpers were built from unmodified upstream FFmpeg 8.1.2 source and are distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later. The build does not enable FFmpeg's GPL, nonfree, version-3-only, or external third-party codec-library options. It builds static FFmpeg libraries into the separate FFmpeg executables, enables only the required decoders and tools, disables network support, and enables only the file and pipe protocols.

Sentinel Sweep FFmpeg 8.1.2 source and build package

The package contains the unmodified upstream source archive, the LGPL 2.1 text, the build script used by Sentinel Sweep, arm64 and x86_64 configure summaries and build-configuration transcripts, a no-modifications statement, and SHA-256 checksums. The upstream project also provides FFmpeg source downloads.

This versioned package corresponds to the FFmpeg helpers identified above. It will remain available for users of Sentinel Sweep builds that distribute those helpers.

Third-party filename-signal lists

Sentinel Sweep bundles two generated lexicons used only for local filename scoring:

• public-profanity.lexicon contains 300 filtered English terms derived from Google Profanity Words.
• public-adult-hosts.lexicon contains 38,547 adult-domain stems derived from source lists maintained in the StevenBlack/hosts porn extension.

The generation process filters and normalizes the source material into Sentinel Sweep's category|weight|term format. For domain sources, it extracts adult-domain stems of at least seven characters, removes common prefixes, suffixes, and generic terms, excludes snuff and gore sources, combines the remaining terms, and removes duplicates.

Sentinel Sweep contains adapted domain stems from brijrajparmar27 and Tiuxo sources identified above. Those source materials are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.

Attribution: “brijrajparmar27 pornography hosts” by brijrajparmar27 and “Tiuxo pornography hosts” by Tiuxo, used through the StevenBlack/hosts porn extension. Changes made for Sentinel Sweep: domain extraction, minimum-length filtering, removal of common prefixes, suffixes and generic stems, exclusion of snuff/gore source folders, normalization, combination, deduplication, and conversion to weighted local filename signals.

The original Tiuxo license is available in the Tiuxo repository. The brijrajparmar27 source is available from the host-sources repository and its mirrored source metadata in StevenBlack/hosts.
